To qualify as virgin hair, it must meet certain standards including: not been permed, dyed, colored, bleached, chemically processed in any way. This also means it comes from a single donor, and all the cuticles are intact, running in the same direction. Usually, it also means that is has not been blow-dried, nor exposed to harsh agents such as cigarette smoke and drugs.

Taking Care of your Virgin Hair:

Treat this hair like you treat your own. You want to co- wash ( only wash hair with conditioner) or deep condition the hair once a week or every 2 weeks to maintain the luscious waves or to manage the straight hair.

It is safe to use heat on the hair but best to use some type of heat protection serum as well.

Also, shampooing the hair very often can be damaging because most shampoos have sulfate in them which can be damaging to hair unless you use shampoo without sulfate.
